Church Connections

City Church Dundee is part of the Catalyst Network of Newfrontiers churches which was started by Terry Virgo over 40 years ago. Since then, Newfrontiers has grown to over 2000 churches in over 90 nations, with churches established on every continent of the globe.

Newfrontiers is passionately committed to building the church according to New Testament principles. We believe that the most effective form of evangelism is worked out from strong local churches. Churches where each member participates, the gifts of the Spirit are outworked, where there is joy in caring one for the other and where there is a desire to make a difference in society and to reach those in need.

Catalyst is an alliance of apostolic teams, connecting together to empower pioneering churches who raise disciples that see God’s kingdom fill the earth. Catalyst is supported and encouraged by the apostolic team led by Phil Wilthew and Simon Holley who are based at King's Arms, Bedford. Catalyst is made up of over 80 churches in the UK, and are working with many churches and church plants in other nations across the world. The vision is to reveal and bring Jesus and His Kingdom to every environment in this nation and the nations. We love receiving encouragement and support from teams from Catalyst. Groups from City Church also regularly travel to enjoy conferences and training events hosted by King's Arms.

City Church is a member of the Evangelical Alliance. We are also part of the Dundee Evangelical Christian Association (DECA), a fellowship of over 30 churches and para-church organisations in Dundee. Craig Stocks has been chair of DECA since 2019.
