House Groups
Most folks should know about the changes that are taking place in the housegroups. It is always a bittersweet problem in church when the church is growing and there are changes that need to take place in the small groups; the freshness of new faces and new people joining the family is great, but then we no longer see as much as some of those we have enjoyed having fellowship with when they are in a different group. If you have any questions or concerns about the new groups please talk to Craig!
The purpose of the housegroups in City Church is primarily to build community. The group should therefore be actively promoting real friendships, providing security and accountability, helping church members to function fully and benefit fully from their membership. The groups meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, sharing the evening together with some or all of food, teaching, worship and discussion. Every group will be different, with its own members and leadership each group will have its own character and creativity.
If you would like to be involved in a housegroup, please speak to Craig and we will find the group that will give you the best opportunity to grow and serve.
