June and July 2009 - Alternatives (Dundee Crisis Pregnancy Trust)

Alternatives provides a safe place to come and talk confidentially through all the issues surrounding pregnancy. They aim to equip and support service users to make the right decisions or steps for their own unique situation.

PinK provided Alternatives with equipment for new baby packs for example bottles, nappies, bibs and babygros.

August and September 2009 - Play Centre Paediatric Ward Ninewells

The Play Centre on the Paediatric Ward at Ninewells Hospital provides patients with the opportunity to play in a safe, supervised environment, which allows them to deal with their illness and treatment through play.  A team of Play Therapists run the centre and work with individual children to prepare them for procedures like blood tests, scans and operations.  The play specialists are also available to advise parents on ways to help at home, such as activities to prepare a child for hospital or recommending toys for children with special needs.

The Play Centre is always in need of toys and equipment as these often get broken or go missing. Our PinK appeal in August and September collected toys and equipment for the Play Centre.
